Reviews for Rancilio ROCKY Rancilio Burr Grinder with Doser I is now not going to price this product 5 megastars as a result of I don't believe it's a just right worth. At virtually [...], this skinnyg should be flawless, and its not. If my only standards were grading the ground espresso it produces, it could be a 5 although. Let me say although that it does an unbelievable job making espresso grounds.
The path I took sooner than I purchased this grinder began with a Black Friday sale at Starbucks the place I picked up a Sirena espresso computer for $315. I had been coveting this laptop due to the fact I had been offered to espresso a year earlier however couldn't stomach the [...] intestine wrenching price for that laptop. Box in hand, I headed house to make my first espresso.
Long story short, I spent a few days the use of my [...] blade grinder to grind the espresso and got here to the conclusion that I couldn't get the floors consistent, even or wonderful enough. So I spent a while reading the thread on c[...] about my computer and located that most people on there recommended the Rocky. I thought [...]for a coffee grinder was ridiculous (I usually use greater language however....) so I shopped around and settled on the still pricey (seriously, we're grinding espresso here) however affordable Breville BCG450XL Conical Burr Grinder. I appreciated the Breville as it used to be fast, quiet, smooth, small and light-weight. However, its best environment ("Turkish") was oncen't truly all that wonderful. Even on the best setting, I was once pulling triple pictures in 8-10 2nds (which is about 2 seconds longer than when not using any coffee!). At that charge the espresso is thin and there just isn't any crema.
Not being the type to surrender on anything else, I did some more analysis on the espresso grinders in the market and used to be dissatisfied to search out there used to be no longerhing within the $100-200 worth range that people had good skinnygs to claim about.
Reviews for Rancilio ROCKY Rancilio Burr Grinder with Doser The Rocky grinder is so improbable. Tons of horse power and a constant grind. I grind for espresso and I can increment the grind measurement in mild increments in conserving with how well the espresso is making it in the path of the porta-filter on my espresso computing device. Awesome solution to effective tune and modify in step with the quality and age of the beans.
Built like a professional grinder - heavy duty!
Regarding the decision of dosser vs. doserless: If you will us this as a COMMERCIAL grinder and pour shot after shot - go together with a dosser for measuring comfort. But you will all the time have a few of your ground espresso sitting in the hopper.
If you're making your espresso's separately - go doserless. Then you are getting your espresso freshly floored just earlier than you use it.
UPDATE 9/2011: Still operating nice and creating a wonderfully even, effective grind for espresso.
